The story takes place in the nineteenth century in London, Rome, Paris and Transylvania, human beings are constantly haunted by evil incarnate in many forms: monsters who survive generation after generation, facing the mighty men who give their lives in that war without end against the human race. Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman), the legendary monster hunter who gave life to Bram Stoker's "Dracula" in his eternal battle to rid the world of these evil creatures, and responding to the request of a secret society, travels to Transylvania with the idea of overcoming the deadly and seductive, the enigmatic and powerful Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh). The intrepid Anna Valerious (Kate Beckinsale) will join him to defeat the vampire and his family fight an ancient curse.
